Breakout cancelled tonight - Friday 18 May
Written by James

We've unfortunately had to cancel Breakout tonight. There has been a sickness bug reported at Bourton Meadow that has meant many staff were taken ill overnight and already nearly 2/3 of the children have been sent home as a precautionary measure. As a result we've decided it would be sensible not to ask parents to bring their children back into school and risk any further spread.

The office staff at Bourton Meadow have offered to send out a 'Parent Mail' message to all BM parents for us so most should be aware about the cancellation but if you know of anyone who hasn't already heard please do pass the message on.

All being well (pun intended!), we'll be back next Friday, 25 May, as usual. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Easter is coming
Written by James

Two important notices for you.... this Friday (23rd March) is our last Breakout evening until after the Easter Holidays - so please make a note in you diaries as we won't be there and more excitingly....

Egg-stravaganza flyer

Our much loved Eggstravaganza is fast approaching.  The whole family is invited to come and join us for the usual fun and games and of course our Easter Egg Hunt (no family goes home empty handed!).  Bring the Grandparents, brothers and sisters, Aunts and Uncles... the more the merrier!  Please remember that all children must be accompanied by an adult as this is not a normal Breakout session and all children are parent's responsibility. This year we are holding the Eggstravaganza on the afternoon of SUNDAY 1st APRIL 3.30pm-5.30pm. Refreshments and cakes are all included.

Tickets will be available from Breakout on Friday and from Nikki or Sarah on the playground all next week.  If you don't come to Bourton Meadow playground or are missing Breakout this week, then please email me and reserve your tickets - they only cost 75p per person (preschoolers are free) but we do need to know numbers for catering purposes (and chocolate buying!!)

We hope you can come - don't forget to make all the dates on your calendar.

Snow fun at all
Written by James

Depite more snow falling last night it appears that the school is open today so should be available for us to use tonight. However, temperatures are due to go below freezing this evening which may make getting there and back difficult for everyone. We're going to see how the day goes and will decide whether to cancel this evening's Breakout later today. We'll update the website as soon as a decision is made.

UPDATE (1pm):

On reflection we've decided to cancel Breakout for tonight.

Sometimes you have to take the sensible choice and it doesn't make sense to ask parents to come out twice when driving conditions are so hazardous. I'm sure you'll have fun in the snow anyway!

Don't forget that there's also no Breakout next Friday (17th February) as it's the school half term but we have invited you all to our church Friends Meal so if you're coming to that we'll see you there.

Otherwise, we'll see you on Friday 24th February at the usual time of 6.30pm.
